Asking Why? SharePoint Evolution Conference
It's that time again, spring is in the air and the SharePoint Evolutions Conference is once again upon us.
Conferences are a great opportunity for learning, socialising and perhaps even the occasional business opportunity. But with so many conferences happening all over the world as well as the awesome SharePoint User Group events, a lot of us are probably asking why should we go?
I guess the situation is a little like what we face in out own SharePoint projects... In order for our time to be effectively spent we need to ask ourselves the 'why?' question and make sure that we are aligned with our personal commitments, work, on-going training, sales opportunities and everything else.
Well, in this brief blog post I want to give you some insights into why you should definitely attend SharePoint Evolutions this year!
Firstly here's some quotes of mine that you'll be seeing pop up on Twitter etc. in the run-up to the conference. They certainly explain my rationale for going:
So why else should you attend?
Well here's 3 reasons:
- I'll be doing a great business track session on the Tuesday - BUS609 How to positively disrupt SharePoint Governance in your organisation
- I'm really hoping to have my book, "The SharePoint Governance Manifesto" in print for you to purchase at the conference
- I'll be finishing the conference with a REALLY fun business track session on the Wednesday - BUS616 Gamestorming your way to awesome requirements!
Surely they are 3 very good reasons to come and join me and a huge number of your colleagues, friends and potential new customers at the conference of the year!
I look forward to meeting you all, sharing coffee, food and beer as well as some SharePoint insights.
